the fee for domain hosting includes
all the basic administrative tasks like
setting up email addresses, setting up ftp accounts,
creating mysql database, etc, within reason.
also, the disk quota is fairly flexible (we're only using about 10% of
the available space currently). basically, what i've
done is pay for a really nice developer hosting plan upstream
for myself (with 1and1.com) to host my own projects. i'm offsetting
the costs of this by providing this service to friends and family
(and you, if you don't fit in one of those categories).
my upstream isp is physically located
in Virginia and is very reliable. i've been with them for
about four years now and have had no noticeable outages.
i probably won't sign a contract with you (the need hasn't arisen yet),
but i can provide receipts or whatever
if you need them for business reasons.
